“I like bright colors.  I like to make a pillow out of bright colors or a pocket book out of bright colors.  Basically I’m a bright, colorful person.

Red and black go together nicely.  Or pink and blue.  Or yellow and green go pretty good together.  Or you could use red, white and blue.”- Ginger M.

“The Three Little Ducks”

August 17th, 2010

“The Three Little Ducks” By Tina C.

There were three little ducks and they like to eat grass and carrots and oatmeal.  For dessert they like apples and oranges and cottage cheese.  The ducks rode on the goats’ backs.  They sat up like people.  One duck had an ice cream cone in its’ wing. He liked chocolate ice cream.  He shared ice cream with the goat.  The goat liked to jump hurdles.  They had lots of fun together.  They liked watermelon and rhubarb pie.  When they went on picnics they had hamburgers and hot dogs.

After they were done with their lunch they climbed trees.  Then they went swimming.  They wore swimsuits.  The colors of the swimsuits were red, white and blue.  And they had a big duck in the middle of them.  They also drove a car to the store the get groceries.  They picked flowers and gave them to their people.

On cold days the ducks wore coats and the coats were made of wool.  On the coats there were pictures of the goats and the ducks together.  And they all lived happily ever after.

The End.

“We went to Sauvie’s Island and we picked berries.  And we had a wonderful time.  It’s the first time I’ve ever been at Sauvie’s Island. It was a blast. And I didn’t eat more than I picked.  We picked blueberries and they were really good.  We also picked some marionberries and that was the first time I had ever seen them.  We also were on a tractor ride and it was fun.  I would like to do it again if I could.”- Tina C.

A Pancake Day at Port City by Tina C.

July 26th, 2010

It was a wonderful day. We had a get together at Port City where I work at.

I helped make the Pancakes. And they turned out really good!  Everybody liked them because it was also a special event.

One of our new friends helped out with the pancake bake.  Which made it even more special, because we had blueberries in it. And we had fresh maple syrup!

I had fun making juice with fresh berries and fruit. (Thank you food church!) There was grapefruit in it, plums, blueberries and peaches!

One of the guys at work played his guitar and another person played the mandolin.

We had fun at the get together.  It was a hot and gorgeous day.  The music was great. I also played a few chords on the guitar. It was fun.
